About Nation Air Con

I'm Mike Sullivan. I've been in the heating and cooling trade since 1993 — started at 17, sweeping the floor of my uncle's shop and handing him fittings. Thirty-plus years later I've done just about every job this trade has: service calls at 2 a.m., attic installs in August, and more quotes at more kitchen tables than I could ever count.

Somewhere along the way I noticed the thing that bothered me most wasn't bad equipment. It was homeowners making five-figure decisions with zero good information — signing the first quote, buying oversized systems, paying for a brand name on the side of a truck.

That's why this site exists. The guides here are the advice I give my own family, written plain. No jargon, no scare tactics, no pretending one answer fits every house.

What Nation Air Con actually does

Two things:

1. Free, honest guides on what HVAC work really costs and how to buy it smart.
2. Free connections to licensed local installers. I can't personally install in every town — nobody can. So when you tell us about your job, we match you with licensed, insured contractors that cover your area, and you compare their quotes side by side.

Straight talk about the money: the service is free to homeowners. The contractor networks we work with pay us for the introduction — that's the whole business model, spelled out in our disclosure. It never changes the price you pay, and no installer can pay us to be recommended over doing right by you.

What I believe about this trade

• The quote is the audition. A contractor who measures carefully quotes honestly.
• Nobody should buy a $10,000 system off one number.
• The right system is the one sized for your house — not the biggest one, not the fanciest one.
• Cheap and fast is how you buy the same install twice.
